Philip Goldstein is an experienced mediator, having conducted many successful mediations in both the commercial, personal injury/tort and employment (FLSA/wage and hour) space. He touts over 30 years of experience, at large and medium size law firms and as in-house counsel.

Mr. Goldstein’s sophisticated and multi-faceted practice areas included mass torts/toxic torts/products liability/personal injury, with a focus on asbestos cases nationwide; and complex commercial litigation and business litigation, with a focus on energy/utilities matters and indemnification disputes. His national practice included significant leadership positions. In both the New York City Asbestos Litigation and the World Trade Center/9-11 mass-toxic tort litigation, Mr. Goldstein actively participated as a member of defense liaison committees, responsible for overall strategy and interface with the courts and special masters. His leadership abilities included a 7+ year stint as New York Office Managing Partner of an AmLaw 100 firm.

In tandem with his busy mass/toxic tort docket and since the inception of practice, Mr. Goldstein touts decades of experience handling a variety of litigations, arbitrations, and mediations on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants in business and commercial matters pending throughout the United States. Subject areas include: energy/utilities including issues regarding power purchase agreements and power plant siting, class actions, breach of contract, fraud, deceptive trade practices, asset purchase agreement/stock purchase agreement issues, indemnification issues, administrative litigation before both the New York Public Service Commission and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, real estate, corporate issues including piercing the corporate veil/alter ego issues, insurance and insurance coverage, joint ventures, employment (Fair Labor Standards Act/FLSA) and trade secrets.
